Thanksgiving

Each year on the fourth Thursday in November, Americans gather for a day of feasting, football and family. While today’s Thanksgiving celebrations would likely be different from of the original 1621 harvest meal, it continues to be a day for Americans to come together around the table.

Reflection:

1. I’m thankful for my family.

2. I’m thankful for the food I received.

3. I’m thankful for having a opportunity to go to school.

4. I’m thankful for having a roof over my head every night.

5. I’m thankful for having my best friends.

6. I’m thankful for black Friday because almost every is on sale.

7. I’m thankful for laughter and smiles because the world will be boring place without them.

8. I’m thankful for Christmas because it a fun time of the year.

9. I’m thankful for the military because they protect and serve our country.

10. I’m thankful for having awesome music that I enjoyed.

11.I’m thankful for having Netflix because I can play cool movies and TV shows during Thanksgiving  

12.I’m thankful for clothes I have on.

Reflection: The first example is like taking drugs. You know it’s not right and is bad for you then don't it. The second example is like lying to someone. If you know it not true then ddon'tsay it.

Dental Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the dental operator (dentist or other treating dental auxiliary) in providing more efficient dental treatment. Dental operators can focus more time on the procedure; the dental assistant then effectively becomes the operator's extra hands.

Salary: $23,550 - $47,580

Education:

Community college or high school diploma

        

Reflection: I don't know if I want to work as a dental assistant because at the same time it sounds boring but looks fun.

Dental Lab Technician

Duties and responsibilities:

Dental Laboratory Technology is both a science and an art. Since each dental patient's needs are different, the duties of a dental laboratory technician are comprehensive and varied. Although dental technicians seldom work directly with patients, except under the direction of a licensed dentist, they are valuable members of the dental care team. They work directly with dentists by following detailed written instructions and using impressions (molds) of the patient's teeth.

Salary: $40,000 - $70,000

Education:

Dental laboratory technicians may receive their education and training through a two-year program at a community college, vocational school, technical college, university or dental school. Graduates of these programs receive either an associate degree or a certificate. There also are a few programs that offer a four-year baccalaureate program in dental technology.

Reflection: I do not think I would want to work as a dental lab Technician because it seem boring being in a lab all day fixing people teeth.

Veterans Day

History:

Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938.

Reflection: My thoughts on Veterans Day are that is very good to remember ours veterans because they do a lot for us and protect our country. I do celebrate Veterans Day because my Grandfather and a close family friend were in the army. Sadly that family’s friend died while serving our country.

Reflection: This quote means that these 3 magic keys is a way to live with integrity. And I agree with all the that Mr. Stone cause it is true what he saying.

The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.

Reflection: This quote means that person who makes right choices will be awarded and the person who chooses the wrong will end up in jail or somewhere bad.

Dance/Movement Therapist

Duties and responsibilities:

Based on the empirically supported premise that the body, mind and spirit are interconnected, the American Dance Therapy Association defines dance/movement therapy as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to further the emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration of the individual.

Salary: $$60,000 - $80,000

Education:

ADTA Approved Graduate Program

Reflection: yes I would like to be a dance/movement therapist because it looks and sounds a cool job to have.
