Reflection: This quote means that to succeed in life and not to show off to others. 

Allopathic Physician

Duties and responsibilities:
An allopathic physician is a medical doctor who treats disorders and injuries by using methods aimed at counteracting the problems. For example, an allopathic physician will prescribe antibiotics to treat a bacterial infection.
Allopathic physicians rely on patented pharmaceutical drugs, radiation and surgery to treat their patients. This type of medical doctor will only use allopath and will tend to avoid the use of non-allopathic or alternative medicine. Alternative to allopathic medicine are naturopathic medicine and holistic medicine.

Salary: $93,000- $105,000

Education:
There are 126 allopathic medical schools in the United States, including three in Virginia (Medical College of Virginia, University of Virginia School of Medicine, and Eastern Virginia Medical School).  Most MD programs require 4 years of study, including emphasis on basic science, clinical work, and social science.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
No I wouldn’t like to be one because I do not want to study that.

Reflection: I think this quote means that true wealth doesn't mean having lots of money is about being kind and having a heart.

Allergist / Immunologist

Duties and responsibilities:
Specialists in allergy and immunology have a range of opportunities within research, education and clinical practice. When people are suffering from allergies, they often visit an allergist for diagnosis and treatment. Allergists are able to provide treatment for many different allergic diseases, including asthma, food allergies, medication allergies, and hives.

Salary: $112,000 - $166,400

Education:
To become an allergist, you will need to earn an undergraduate degree, complete medical school, and participate in a three year residency program. During the residency, allergists study either pediatrics or internal medicine, depending on the type of care they would like to provide during their career. Following the residency, it's necessary to become a certified allergist by passing an exam administered by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology in order to practice. Some states may have additional licensing requirements. Check with your state's health board to find out the exact requirements for where you live.

I would like to be one cause it sounds cool and looks like a funny job to have.

Acupuncture

Duties and responsibilities:
Acupuncture is the stimulation of specific acupuncture points along the skin of the body involving various methods such as penetration by thin needles or the application of heat, pressure, or laser light. Acupuncture aims to treat a range of conditions, though is most commonly used for pain relief.
Salary:  $79,000- $94,000
Education:
Most acupuncture and TCM training programs require students to have a bachelor's degree. There are around 50 of them in the United States, all of which offer certification in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (AOM), which is also known as TCM. Your coursework will require you to study acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Asian bodywork, though each college will have a different emphasis. Most schools take about 3-4 years to finish and you'll graduate with a master's degree in acupuncture or Oriental medicine.

No I wouldn’t like to be one because I’m afraid of needles. Also I wouldn’t like to be one because I’m afraid I will messed up.

Ophthalmologist

Duties and responsibilities:
Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and other perform research.

Average Salary:  $90,000 -$150,000

Educational Requirements:
Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologists must then complete a three to five years residency in an approval ophthalmology program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.



Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I do not think I would want this job because it not really my interest. I wouldn't want to be a ophthalmologists I find it really boring.

Psychiatrist

                                                                          
 Duties and Responsibilities:

                Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in the problems of mental illness. As physicians, they are licensed to use a wide variety of treatments and may write prescriptions. Psychiatrists may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities. Their duties include:

·        Designing treatment programs.
·        Conduct psychotherapy sessions.
·        Prescribing potent mental illness drugs
·        Supervising electrotherapy treatments.
·        Conduct research.
·        Leading a team of mental health care providers

Average Salary: $90,000 - $200,000

Educational Requirements: Bachelors, Masters, PH.D. Degrees
In addition to completing the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, psychiatrists must complete an intensive three years residency in psychiatry.

I do not think I want to be a psychiatrists because it not really what I'm going to do in my career.
