Animator

Duties and Responsibilities:
An artist who creates multiple images, known as frames, that give an illusion of movement called animation when displayed in rapid sequence. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, and video games. Animation is closely related to film making and like film making is extremely labor-intensive, which means that most significant works require the collaboration of several animators. The methods of creating the images or frames for an animation piece depend on the animators' artistic styles and their field.

Salary: $36,270 - $74,395

Education:
Aside from talent, an animator's skills can be vastly improved by completing postsecondary training, such as a certificate, associate's degree or bachelor's degree program in animation or a related field. Students typically take courses in drawing, 3D programming, computer graphics, video effects and graphic design. Supplemental courses may cover topics in image generation, digital animation, modeling, story structure and game design. Programs may also provide training on sound and video editing, as well as kinematics.

Reflection: I would like to an animator because I grew up with my dad drawing cartoon and other stuff. Also when I was little, I watched a lot of Disney/Pixar animation movies and I still do watch it. Walt Disney is probably one my biggest inspirations when it comes to art.
